Udyam Aadhar Registration As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, the term “Udyam Aadhar registration” refers to the updated version of the Udyog Aadhar registration for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in India. The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) introduced the Udyam Aadhar registration system to streamline and simplify the registration process for MSMEs. It replaced the earlier Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) registration.

TYPE OF UDYAM AADHAR REGISTRATION
- Micro Businesses: These businesses can have a minimum capital investment of up to Rs. 1 crore and a maximum annual revenue of up to Rs. 5 crore.
- Small Businesses: Having an annual revenue of up to 50 crore rupees and a minimum capital investment of up to 10 crore rupees.
- Medium-sized Businesses: These companies must have a minimum capital investment of 50 crore rupees and a maximum annual turnover of 250 crore rupees.

Udyam Aadhaar is applicable to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises involved in manufacturing, production, processing, or preservation of goods and commodities.
✓ Udyam Online Registration
The registration process for Udyam Aadhaar is typically done online through the official Udyam Aadhaar portal. The applicant needs to provide details about the business, including Aadhaar details of the owner or authorized signatory
✓ Udyam Registration of Classification
MSMEs are classified based on their investment in plant and machinery or equipment, and annual turnover. The classification includes micro, small, and medium enterprises.
✓ Udyam Aadhaar Number
Upon successful registration, the business is assigned a unique identification number known as the Udyam Aadhaar Number. This number is used for availing various benefits and schemes offered by the government for MSME

Similar to the Udyog Aadhaar registration, businesses with Udyam Aadhaar registration enjoy benefits such as easier access to credit, government subsidies, priority in government procurement, protection against delayed payments, and more.
